At present, the total ocean space is about 361.059 million square kilometres which occupied 71% of the earth.
According to the status, the population of the earth has been more than double over the past fifty years, but the amount of fishing has been increased up to 5 times.
The ocean has lost the large oceanic fishes 90% & above. Furthermore, there are over 10 million ton of petroleum, 10 thousand ton of Hg, 25 thousand ton of chlorins biphenyl, 2 hundred and 50 thousand ton of copper, 3 million and 9 hundred thousand ton of zinc and 3 hundred thousand ton of plumbum etc to be flowed into ocean every year in the world. It resultes the region ocean lost the self-clean capability and frequent red tide, so the fish died largely, the quality of sea water got worse and worse, the bacterium propagated largely etc. The experts pointed that the human would not live if the ocean died. The people must realize that protecting ocean means protecting themselves and the living or death of ocean, everyone’s responsibility.
